President’s Message

UPDATED: October 2022

Message from the President of the HDTBA

As the newly elected president of the Hamilton & District Tenpin Bowling Association, I would like to welcome all our new and returning bowlers to the 2022/23 season.

The last few bowling seasons have been challenging for everyone involved; officials, leagues and bowling centres have had to make many changes in the way our sport is experienced. These changes have effected the attendance greatly at all centres but with life settling into a bit of normalcy we are all hoping to boost these numbers this season.

The association has seen a few changes in its board members this past year. With the unfortunate passing of John Nescovic and the retirement of Lynda Hirschmann as well as Jim and Barb Hollands we have lost quite a bit of experience and foundation but we have filled some gaps with new members and a clear vision as to the improvements required for us to grow.

We are actively making decisions and changes to rebrand ourselves while reaching out to proprietors and potential sponsors for the association. All in the hopes to attract new bowlers as well as boosting the confidence in current members. We are always open to your thoughts and suggestions to help further our cause.

Hopefully with the assistance of everyone involved in Hamilton and district we can bring greater support to the local bowling centres and to the sport itself.

Kindest regards

Ron Link
